I have no future
And you have no future
Let's mend our futures together while we can
I have no money
And you have no money
Let's pool our money together and buy a car
To get us out of here
'Cause I have no faith in the government
And you, you're an anarchist
I wish that no one had created God
And you, you think you're him
So let's love, let's love, let's love each other
Even if you don't believe in that sort of thing
I'm not entirely sure that I do either
But let's create love together while we can
I have no faith in Capitalism
And you, you're a thief
I wish that someone would just take my good looks
At the supermarket when I leave
I have no future
And you have no future
Let's leave the supermarket while we can

I don't know where to go
with the people that I wanna know when I'm old.
Every road in this town is a dead end street;
I wanna know where to go.
Wish I could find the highway exit sign
To the interstate
Let me know if you're going my way
Or if you're gonna wait
Every day in this place, it could be the last one
So I sit and I stay
And I lay and I play and I'm like a good dog;
Every day feels the same.
Wish I could find the doghouse doorway out
To the backyard
I could run as far as Norway
Dance in the Fjords

Let me take a picture
of a river in a city
where the refuse from the sewer
flows on to another city.
Like one man's trash is another man's treasure
One man's trash is another man's memory
A postcard from the present,
signed and mailed into the river
so when sifting through the refuse
someday someone else will see it.
Like one man's trash is another man's treasure
One man's trash is another man's past
Picking up the pieces
that were left out of the puzzle
in a picture of a history book
I found outside the thrift store
Like one man's trash is another man's treasure
One man's trash is another man's trash
Gluing them together
with the water from the river,
rich with refuse, to the city
like a picture on a postcard
Like one man's trash is another man's treasure
One man's trash is another man's collage
And take another picture
of a city with a river
running through it like a sewer
flowing on to other cities
Like one man's trash is another man's treasure
One man's trash is another man's time

These lines above my eyes, they keep me skeptical,
they keep me logical, they tell the truth.
The way you slant your head when I ask what you mean,
man, what does that man? What did I do?
I can't ask why
I don't why
I don't why, but you do
Yeah, you do
The faces that I make, do they bother you?
Is that what I do that makes you mad?
I'm sorry if my face has caused you any pain
-- wait, no, that's insane for me to say.
I can't ask why
I don't why
I can't ask why, but you do
Yeah, you do
So watch the way my face works when I talk you;
what does it do? What does that mean?
I think you know the answer, but you're holding out.
Yeah, I have my doubts about you, too.
Just don't ask why
You can't know why
You can't know why, but I do
But I do

I don't want to
have to be the
one to tell you no one wants you here.
If you knew,
would you accept
the weight of all the world's pain in yourself?
Think about it,
who do you know
who deserves it any more than you do?
If you look
inside yourself
and everything you see starts to turn black,
Whitewash all your fears 'til it all turns back.

You're in the middle (x4)
Don't you wanna see
the depths of ecstasy
and don't you wanna be dead?
Take your chances, kid
everything you did
had to start somewhere.
You're in the middle (x4)
Make yourself at home
inside the terrordome.
Are you us or them?
You're in the middle (x4)
Go down
Go down

Do you know how it's gonna go down?
Do you know how it's gonna go down?
It could go down right now,
You just sit there
I don't know how it's gonna go down.
Everybody say "Go down."
I don't know how it's gonna go down.
Everybody say "Go down."
Do you know how it's gonna go down>
Do you know how it's gonna go down?
Could go down right now,
You just sit there
Everybody say go down
Everybody say go down
Go down
Go down
Hey!
Hey you!
Go down.
Go down.
Hey!
Hey you!
Go down.
Go down.
Do you know how it's gonna go down?
Do you know how it's gonna go down?
Could go down right now,
You just sit there.
Hey!
Hey you!
Hey go down.
Hey go down.
Hey!
Hey you!
Go down, kid.
Go down.

An eye for an eye
Let's quiver and die
Like a sad sucker on a holiday drive
Out east to the city
Where nobody calls him
Home, to the west where the nightmare befalls him
Under the cold, empty sky at home
Drinking and getting high all alone,
His mind is a picture of Arthur Rimbaud.
Up on the mantlepiece,
Falling down...
